Reflection and Action Plan of My Results from the Holmes...

In discussing stress and anxiety in one’s life, the Holmes and Rahe Self-Assessments have the ability to put things into perspective for some people. My score, at 269, wasn’t much of a shock; however, seeing the words â€Å"you have a moderate to high chance of becoming ill in the near future† shocks the system. Couple those results with the nutritional value of foods I ingest, the diseases that befall us as a species, and the possibility of hereditary illnesses running through my own family, it should be taken as a wakeup call to make certain changes in my life for a better, healthier future. At the present moment, the tension surrounding me is no good, and would need to change for that future to occur. Where I stand (not financially†¦show more content†¦During this time, I managed to quit smoking (a habit I still have not returned to) and started actively seeking better health. Finances have not allowed me to continue with this and I fell back int o old habits-minus the smoking-of quasi-laziness. But the third thing that I would need would accompany the exercising and that would be eating better. I must admit, I have always been a poor eater when it comes to nutrition. I eat all of the wrong things, too much of the time, and very little of the things that benefit the human body and accommodate good health. Putting healthier foods into my body, on a timely scale for the metabolism’s boost, coupled with physical implementation, would aid me greatly in stress reduction and give me a boost where it is needed in my inspiration to better my emotional health, too.
